The Chicho Gallo variety, which comes from the scenic Amaro Gallo region of Ethiopia, is given the best conditions and care a Hartmann Estate in Panama. This variety comes from a local landrace in the Amaro Gallo region of Ethiopia. The variety is used to high altitudes and cool climates with nutrient-rich soils. The “chicho” comes from the name of Ratibor Hartmann’s father, who passed away. The Hartmann family, who are passionate about cultivating unique and exquisite varieties. first planted Chicho Gallo in the earlv 2010s. This coffee in this lot was processing using traditional Natural processing techniques. They call the processing method winey’ process in order to differentiate this smaller-scale processing from the larger-scale Natural processing that is common throughout Brazil.

I would be interested to know what the roast dates are on both tins, as I found the bags for a third of the price were much fresher and had a far superior plume.
That said; it was a good, round cup and rather clear, though cannot justify the $80 price tag. would be Interested to compare the Winey tin to the Geisha tin.
